The Waynesville Police Department is located in the heart of Downtown Waynesville at 9 South Main Street; business offices are Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (except holidays). Police protection is provided 24 hours a day / 365 days a year. For emergency assistance dial 911, for any other communications we can be reached at 828/456-5363. The Waynesville Police Department has 34 full-time and 7 part-time sworn police officers managed by Chief Bill Hollingsed, Captain Blaine Jones, and 3 Lieutenants who report to the Chief of Police. Lieutenant Brian Beck is the Division Commander running day to day operations for the Patrol Division, Lieutenant Tim Brooks is the Division Commander who oversees the Investigative Services Division, and Lieutenant Charles B. Way is the Division Commander responsible for the Administrative Services Division. The department works closely with local law enforcement from the Haywood County Sheriff Department and the numerous municipal agencies serving throughout the county. |
